Sales Engineer – Construction Technology & Robotics Location: UK – National / Field Based Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time Sector: Construction Technology | Robotics | BIM | Surveying | Automation Job Description Millison Chase Limited is recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing construction technology business specialising in robotics, automation and digital construction solutions. We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer with a technical background in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, BIM/VDC or construction technology. You will work directly with contractors, surveyors, engineers, BIM teams and construction professionals to demonstrate how robotics and automation can improve accuracy, productivity and efficiency across live construction projects. The position combines technical knowledge with commercial development. You will support customers from initial technical discussions and site demonstrations through Proof of Concept trials, implementation and ongoing technology adoption. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on construction or surveying experience who wants to develop their career within the rapidly growing construction robotics and automation sector.
Pay & Progression

£45,000 – £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
Uncapped commission providing significant additional earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical discussions with contractors, surveyors, engineers and BIM/VDC teams.
Identify customer challenges and recommend appropriate construction technology solutions.
Demonstrate robotic laser projection, automated drilling and construction automation technology.
Deliver technical demonstrations and Proof of Concept trials on live construction sites.
Support customers throughout the technical sales process from initial enquiry through to implementation.
Interpret Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, CAD and BIM information for construction applications.
Advise customers on coordinate systems, control points, site positioning and data alignment.
Support the translation of digital construction models into accurate physical site workflows.
Work with engineering teams to resolve technical, modelling and site coordination issues.
Demonstrate measurable improvements in productivity, accuracy and efficiency against traditional methods.
Build strong relationships with contractors, surveyors, engineers and construction decision-makers.
Support commercial teams with technical proposals, presentations and customer demonstrations.
Identify new opportunities for robotics, automation and digital construction technology.
Progress qualified opportunities through the sales pipeline using credible technical expertise.
Support customers with implementation, training and optimisation following deployment.
Travel regularly to customer locations and construction sites throughout the UK.

Requirements

Professional experience within surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, BIM/VDC or construction technology.
Strong understanding of construction site workflows and setting-out processes.
Experience working with BIM, CAD or digital construction models.
Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks or similar construction software.
Understanding of coordinate systems, control points, positioning and data alignment.
Experience with Robotic Total Stations, surveying equipment or related positioning technology.
Comfortable working directly within active construction environments.
Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
Ability to explain complex technical information clearly to technical and non-technical customers.
Commercial awareness with the ability to identify customer requirements and recommend solutions.
Previous construction technology sales experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Experience with construction robotics, automated drilling or robotic laser projection would be advantageous.
Experience with Mechasys, CSC Robotics or similar construction technology would be beneficial.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel throughout the UK.
