Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Sales Estimator on behalf of our client, a specialist engineering business based in Saffron Walden.
Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative solutions across a range of sectors including medical, defence and commercial environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Estimator to their sales team in order to support the sales function by producing accurate and commercially viable estimates, managing client enquiries, and contributing to the successful delivery of tender opportunities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Review and interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates in line with client requirements
Liaise with internal teams including design, planning and installation to gather project information
Assess potential risks including health & safety, financial and delivery considerations
Act as a key point of contact for clients, contractors and consultants throughout the tender process
Respond to enquiries and support incoming sales opportunities
Attend meetings (both in person and virtual) to support project discussions
Maintain and develop estimating systems, processes and cost libraries
Support wider sales and marketing activities where required
Contribute to continuous improvement within the estimating function
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience within an estimating role
Strong understanding of estimating processes within construction, engineering or similar sectors
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience managing multiple tenders and working to deadlines
Strong commercial awareness and numerical ability
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
Marketing exposure beneficial but not essential
Eligible for UK security clearance
Full UK Driving Licence
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
