Sales Executive

Job Details

Our client is currently seeking a sales representative with business development skills. They are a market leading distributor of materials and ingredients for pharmaceutical and industrial products, and are looking to appoint an engaging and motivated sales person to join their growing team. The successful applicant will passionately promote their products across the key industries they serve.

You will be responsible for identifying new prospects, following up leads and enquiries, and bringing on new business, whilst also building strong relationships and growing and developing customer accounts.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively contact new prospects and existing customers
  • Research and identify target prospects and leads, and make introductions to prospective clients
  • Arrange and attend sales meetings, and pitch and present to potential new clients
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate pricing
  • Maintain contact with potential clients and develop relationships through to sale
  • Develop existing accounts and maximise ongoing and future opportunities
  • Report on activity and pipeline forecast

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a technical sales role is desirable
  • Technical/engineering qualification is also desirable
  • Driven by selling and looking to develop a career in sales
  • Excellent negotiation skills and confident communicator
  • Enthusiastic, target driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic
  • Highly organised and good attention to detail
  • Confident, professional and approachable
  • Full driving licence is essential, as the role will involve travel to customer sites across the UK

Salary and benefits:

  • £25,000 – £32,000 basic salary + car allowance
