Technical Sales Engineer
Burnley
£40,000 to £45,000 DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Benefits Package
40 Hours per Week Monday to Friday – 14:30 Finish on Friday
Our client manufactures engineered plastic components in their factory in Burnley. The business is currently expanding and has a vacancy for an Internal Technical Sales Lead. The business manufactures precision components for sectors including FMCG processing machinery, transport systems and bottling/canning processes.
This role would suit an experienced Internal Technical Sales professional with experience in a mechanical engineering industry. Experience with plastics would be strongly preferred. The successful candidate will ideally have an engineering background with a strong working knowledge of engineering processes and capabilities.
The Technical Sales Engineer will work within a small team responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and technically sound cost estimates for engineering projects.
The Technical Sales Engineer Role:
Lead the generation of costs and quotations for engineering components
Collaboration with CAD teams – reviewing engineering / technical drawings and specifications
Customer Liaison & discussion
Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
Identification of risks, opportunities, and value engineering options within project estimate
Administering of quote to sales order process
Mentor junior colleagues
