The Trainee Sales Executive – Modernisation Solutions works with prospective new KONE customers (LIO), proactively targeting elevator modernisation opportunities outside KONE’s current service portfolio (LIS).
You will specifically focus on generating orders for elevator modernisation and for competitor’s products where KONE already has a KONE lifts modernisation industrialized solution in place. It is also a requirement of this role to focus on KONE’s range of digital solutions.
This role will be based out of our Bristol office and will require 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
Key responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management
Proactively develops and creates customer relationships in your area of responsibility
Accountable for developing KONE position within your customer base or market area
Creating and communicating leads and sales opportunities for entire KONE sales team (e.g. cross-selling)
Ensures customer satisfaction and solves complaints with the rest of KONE team
Documents the customer and contact information, maintains customer data within CRM system (Salesforce)
Sell
Proactively generates KONE Upgrade modernisation opportunities from outside current customer base (existing service portfolio)
Handles RFQs
Is accountable for leads, opportunities, orders and contracts to meet the sales budget and pricing targets
Demonstrates a solution selling mindset and sales strategy in ensuring customer’s needs are matched with KONE’s tendered value proposition
Is responsible for pricing using the approved tendering tools, and for optimizing prices and discounts within your authority limits
Validates that the contents of the contract are in line with KONE’s contract absolutes
Maintains accurate and full detailed CRM records of opportunities, tasks and visits (sales funnel management)
Responsible for timely and accurate reporting in CRM
Responsible for gathering relevant market and competitor data and feeding back findings to the business
Drives execution of your individual sales plan
Professional requirements:
Fully understands and utilizes all sales processes within day-to-day working week
Demonstrates customer service mindset
Numbers and facts (data) drive actions
Is able to bring across customer needs, add value to customers’ businesses by offering solutions that meet their needs and can use value-based pricing to guarantee healthy margins
Comfortable and excited about the opportunities that digital solutions bring.
Accustomed to using different sales tools
Skills & experiences:
Sales experience in a similar industry or role is essential (expectation is for two years minimum)
Experience in proactively managing customer service solutions is essential
Experience and understanding of value selling strategies is essential
Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
Good understanding of digital skills and mindset
A bachelor’s degree in an associated field is preferential
